Aftercare:
Massage the treated area: After the treatment, the practitioner may recommend gently massaging the treated area for a few minutes each day to encourage the breakdown of fat cells and improve the results. This should be done with care and following the practitioner’s advice.
Avoid pressure on the treated area: For the first 24-48 hours after the treatment, it’s advised to avoid any excessive pressure or tight clothing on the treated area. This helps avoid irritation or swelling.
Avoid strenuous exercise: Refrain from intense physical activity, including heavy exercise or sweating, for at least 24-48 hours post-treatment.
Cold compress: Swelling, bruising, and redness are common after Aqualix injections. Applying a cold compress to the treated area can help reduce swelling and soothe the skin.
Sun exposure: Avoid direct sun exposure to the treated areas for at least a week, as the skin will be more sensitive, and sun exposure may lead to complications like pigmentation changes or irritation.
Avoid alcohol: Refrain from drinking alcohol for 24-48 hours post-treatment, as alcohol can increase the risk of swelling and bruising.
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications: Avoid using anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin or ibuprofen, unless advised otherwise, as they can increase the risk of bruising.
Monitor for side effects: Some common side effects include bruising, swelling, and tenderness at the injection site. These typically subside within a few days to a week. If you experience severe pain, infection signs (redness, warmth, pus), or other unusual reactions, contact your practitioner immediately.
